I had a very good induction other than being allergic to the cervadil they used to soften my cervix. They don't do that with all inductions though.

I was induced, unplanned, with my son and aside from the midwife's bedside manner (that was my first time meeting her), it was a pretty laid back experience. Lasted several hours, of course, and they had to use two methods to speed up dilation, but it was an entirely vaginal birth and could have been much worse, all things considering. I am planning an induction this time around as well, turns out I don't feel contractions so, I'd rather plan it than run into hard labor at an inconvenient time or place.

I just got induced last night- first with cytotec to help my cervix dilate, which it didn’t much. Then my water broke and they started me on pitocin and crap got REAL. To be fair I was trying to do non medicated and actually ended up doing both the IV narcotics (while waiting for the anesthesiologist) and the epidural. Everything was SO MUCH BETTER after I got the epidural, I slept and actually dilated so much during that time that she woke me up and said time to push! I felt nothing, I pushed 3 times for 5 min total and my baby was here! If I hadn’t tried to do natural at the beginning it would have been a much easier day, but I was also terrified of epidural and that’s why I put it off so long. Make sure you speak up if you want something done differently, and try to relax and enjoy your day. You’ve got this mama!

I was induced with the cervical pill and it worked wonders for me! Had a test dose and non painful contractions started after 3 min. And than a quarter dose and they stopped having to give me them because my body kicked off labor on its own than. I only had painful contractions for 4 hours before mine was born! Water broke after the first two painful contractions. Got the epidural and hour after that. Went from a 1 after my epidural to a 10 and nearly crowning in less than 3 hours!
