Did you get the epidural?

Explain how it felt with/without it. Did it hurt getting it or was it not painful at all.

Didn’t get it. Labor was fine. Worst pain I’ve ever felt but she came quick and was healthy. I was up and walking shortly after to get food lol. I’ll do the same with this little girl if I can.

Contractions hurt like a MoFo. I always knew I’d get an epidural (as long as I was able). I had no interest in feeling the pain or having an all natural birth. I got the epidural and I felt amazing. It was the best thing I could have done. I could barely even feel my contractions. I could tell I was having one because I could feel a little bit of a tightening but no pain what so ever. The initial numbing of the epidural spot was a little painful but nothing compared to the contractions. I was able to still move my legs for a little while after getting the epidural but then closer to when I pushed they were pretty numb and I needed help lifting them. When I delivered I felt no pain. Just some pressure. I was up and walking 2 hours after I delivered.

I started with the gas and that sucked, it made me feel so sick and it didn't start working till after the contraction was over. 
the only thing that sucked about the epidural was having to sit still long enough to have them put it in. they would have to stop if a contraction happened. 
I honestly didn't even feel it go in. but it worked wonders. I got it at 10 pm and it helped me sleep because I didn't end up pushing till 6am. 
but I pushed for 2hours and by the time he came out the epidural had run out so I definitely felt more than I wanted too.

I got an epidural and still had very painful contractions, possibly due to being induced with pitocin. It was also so uncomfortable not being able to move but at least when I was pushing I didn't experience any pain or the 'ring of fire.' 
Am hoping this time to try things naturally.

I made it to 9cm and the pain was unbearable. I was screaming and acting like a complete psycho. Random people kept running into the room asking if everything was okay and if they needed help. I don't think they typically give you one that far along, but I was acting so crazy they rushed in the anesthesiologist and it was amazing. You don't feel anything. I pass out when I get blood drawn, so to feel nothing when getting the epidural was great. Maybe the pain from the contractions was just so bad I didn't notice the little pinch, but either way.... I'm glad I got it.

I didn’t have it and I dropped the gas and forgot about it so ended up doing it drug free. My son’s head was like 95th percentile too!
I liked that I could walk back to my room and I didn’t have tubes attached to me. There’s a lot involved with epidurals like monitoring strips, an IV and catheter. Glad I didn’t have all of that. 
Yes it hurt but in the end you get your baby and who cares about the pain?!

I didnt get one this was my first child so I cant comment on the pain with an epidural. Without one though not gonna lie it hurt , you feel everything but it was super quick ( well for me everyone woman labors different ) my labor was 7 hours with pushing that's not the case for everyone. I was too stubborn to get the epidural for a couple of reasons. 1 epidural complications which can happen 2 I'm terrified of needles especially ones that go into your damn back lmfao. I had an epidural (spinal , but similar to an epidural) when I needed surgery to remove my cerclage and I didnt like the feeling at all. I felt super anxious that I couldn't move for 8 hours + however that's just me. Labor without medication was painful but bearable you will know if you need it and honestly theres no shame in getting an epidural. Labor is hard af if an epidural will make your labor better you should definitely get one. It's not a competition like how some women will make it.

It didn’t hurt. The only weird thing was the leg shake. And I don’t know if that’s a normal thing they do or if it just happened to me. ??

What hurts are the contractions. You won’t care about getting an epidural 😂 when you feel those. An epidural is a few tiny pricks then it’s numb for the big needle. It doesn’t hurt at all.
