Serious poop question! Is this normal for breastfed baby only? Sometimes it sticks to his butt and is hard to wipe off and I thought that was only formula babies poop that is hard to wipe off. It’s been green for couple days now but never this much.

My sons poop looked like that and they tested it for blood and it was positive. I had to stop eating dairy completely and they checked his poop again still some blood so I had to cut out soy as well it’s been a real challenge but I want to breastfeed

So Im not much help but my babies poop looked like that from 1 week old to almost 4 weeks, coincidentally she also struggled in gaining weight. my doctor put me on supplenenting with formula, just enfamil regular, to gain weight and it just stopped at 5 weeks. then i weaned her off formula, shes gaining weight really really well off just boob. Theres a good chance it was dairy intolerance but her little digestive system just matured enough to take it? idk but now she poops every couple days, perfect mustard poop,

Could be allergy if you have been eating a lot of something that doesn’t sit well in his body or he could have an infection either thing it’s gonna be ok

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and my baby went through a sticky green poop stage- totally normal. Hers eventually went back to yellow. I didn’t change anything in my diet- sometimes they can get more fore milk or hind milk and it changes the color. If it persists and you’re still concerned, definitely bring it up to your ped! ❤️
