What kind do I have? UPDATE

I was recently diagnosed with herpes but they didn’t say what kind. I have only ever had breakouts on my butt. They are completely random. I can go months and months without anything and then bam there’s one spot and it goes away a few days later. Sometimes I get 2 spots. I’ve had it for 7-8yrs but never made it to the doctor while it was there. My doctor prescribed me valtrex and told me to only take it when I have an outbreak.

Luckily neither of my kids have it!!

Any one know what kind it is?

She told me it looked like shingles which is from chicken pox which is a form of herpes.

All I know is she was testing for shingles.

I got a call from the nurse who told me it was herpes and that they called in the meds. Told me to take it when I have an outbreak.

I was completely shocked. Last thing I ever expected to hear.
