Induction at 38 weeks

Any tips on how to prepare for an induction, and what to expect? This is actually my fourth baby but have NEVER gone through an induction before. And yes, I’m aware of the potential consequences of an induction. I’m getting induced because we are stationed in Hawaii and I have no family here. All my friends have PCS’d off the island already which is a bummer. I have 3 children that need care while I’m in the hospital. My MIL can only come out for a week during my 38th week. So, induction is the best scenario to take in this particular situation. Any input to help me prepare?
