need help

a year ago i was talking to this guy. He wanted to have sex and i wasn’t ready to. every time he came to my house (which wasnt that many times) he wanted to have sex and i told him i wasn’t ready or comfortable and one day i just gave in and let him come over. we were on my couch and he took my clothes off and went inside me but i wasn’t comfortable at all and it hurt and i told him that it hurt but he wouldn’t listen to me he just kept saying “hold on” he didnt stop until i was basically in tears asking him to stop. i’ve been struggling with this for some time now because i can never fully understand if it was rape or not.
