Need to vent

I need to vent. I’m a cna at a long term care facility, I’ve been working 12 hour shifts all week. Today was my last day of 12s (72 hours this week) before my weekend off. I have a lazy coworker that just happens to be of a different race. Last night she was refusing to help anybody, she kept saying that everybody hates her and is out to get her because she’s black. I come in to work this morning early to talk to management about this issue because it’s becoming for frequent that she is using the race card at work for everything. Not knowing that this girl had called and complained this morning that I’m a racist. Fast forward to 3 1/2 hours into my 12 hour shift I’m pulled into the office. I’m being told that I am being suspended with pay while they investigate the issue. I’m heated y’all. I’m really getting ready to snap and I had talked to them this morning about this very issue. This is my livelihood at stake now. So I leave work I’m fuming.

It is now two hours after I left work. I get a phone call from the administrator at work to let me know that I can come back to work Monday

She recanted everything she had said. Basically saying she lied about me being racist and using that excuse because she knew she was in trouble for doing something else yesterday she knew she wasn’t supposed to do.

They want to sit us down to discuss “personality conflicts”

Now. She lied. Almost got me fired. For being racist. Which wasn’t the case. And she is not fired.

Am I wrong for thinking she should have been fired for making a false claim that almost cost me my job??
