Glider/rocker? Help!

Hi ladies! So we're getting close to the big day & I've had the hardest time selecting a rocker/glider! Does anyone have any advice for selecting one? Any brands you LOVE? Post pictures of your adorable nurseries & help me find a rocker (please!) Best of luck!! Xoxox

Another tip... My pick out a style? I think there are three main styles:

1) wooden base, padded seating (I think this is the most common) - can be found at baby stores, comes as both rockers & gliders

2) full on padded rockers / gliders.. (Reminds me of a single seat couch) - also sold at baby stores but sometimes at regular furniture stores too. In addition to being rocker and/or gliders, you can get ones that swivel or a leg rest that goes up (like a lazy boy).

3) traditional wooden rocker (mostly found at regular furniture stores) - prob not as comfy but will look a lot nicer if your putting it in your family room. Also will prob keep it for longer vs. the other two.

Once you have type down, pick out functionality ( rocker, glider, both, any other features you want?). And of coarse price.  All that will prob leave you with a much easier decision.

We went with type #2, that was a rocker/glider/swivel combo and got a foot rest to go with. Putting it in the nursery & will prob be a basement thing once we are done having babies. I bought it off Wayfair after sitting in others by the brand and reading lots of reviews on their site and other sites that carried it.

I had one of those typical gliders with my first and I hated it! Nursing was so awkward in it, it's completely upright so I couldn't sleep in it and when she got bigger we barely fit.
Now with the second on the way I got this one from the roomstore. It looks like leather but it's very soft suede like material. Electrica recliner almost completely flat and it rocks but the best part is I can fit both of my girls in it with one next to me and one on my lap. My 215lb 6'0 husband can also sit with her. We love it!!

Best advice my husband and I got was to get a lazy boy recliner. I have slept comfortably in that thing more times than I care to count.

I totally second Jessica. My glider was soooo cute and a huge splurge item but it was so uncomfy that I never used it. I'd recommend something that reclines and rocks. I got a lazyboy this time and have already used it a ton. Know it will stay put after baby too!!

We got this recliner/glider at babies r us. It was a bit of a splurge, but it's going to be my 2nd bed, so we figured something super comfy! 😊

We actually went for a full recliner that rocks and swivels and used a pillow and throw to make it fit more in a nursery decor. My husband is a big guy and doesn't feel so comfortable in the the traditional nursery rockers and gliders.

Get something that can recline. As a mother of 2 you will thank me when you are stuck in the nursery on late nights. Gliders and rockers are fine until you try sleeping in one

I got a combination glider/recliner from Babies R Us.  It was a tad pricy but I used discounts to get almost $100 off.  It's very comfortable and I'll being able to recline for a nap right in the babies room.  I also chose a neutral color so it can move to another room in the house when it no longer fits in the kid's room.
