Mucus plug question ??? Need help !!!

Hey everyone, how could you tell if you are losing your mucus plug? How would it look and how much could you lose before your water breaks?? I am an FTM and have a early labor risk and put on bed rest, and I have a little bit of extra discharge these days but I have no Idea whether it is mucus plug or some other discharges that you have in the earlier stages of your pregnancy..

Mine looked like a big booger it had a little green and a little blood

I lost my mucus plug with my 1st child at 35 weeks it looks just like mucus but make sure u look at it because I had traces of blood in mine and had to go into labor. Just make sure ur paying attention to it

Losing your plug doesn't always mean your water is going to break... They can come out in bits and pieces and many people don't know it but they can also regenerate. I lost a chink of mine with my first baby and was freaking out...called my doc and she said not to worry because it happens a lot and it will most likely regenerate itself.

I always have a lot of discharge. I only lost my plug with DD and there was no missing it. It was huge and weird lol Losing it doesn't mean much though. I still was pregnant for another week + afterwards. You can always mention it to your doctor though.
