Tough Question

I wanted to ask you all a question and needed some good ideas. I just found out I am pregnant and my mother in law doesn’t really respond in a positive way when she finds out I am pregnant. An example would be: “You can’t afford more children.” “You need to make more money since you’re having more children.” I am totally in love with my husband so putting pressure and making daddy feel caught in the middle of a disagreement between his spouse and his mother is out. I know this is difficult to answer, but, how could I respond in a positive way that would not escalate her animosity? Any ideas? I know this is a tough question.
