Postpartum Question.

I'm needing some insight to see if what I'm going through is normal like my mom says it is....

I gave birth 4 weeks ago today. No stitches or tearing. I stopped bleeding at two weeks. At three weeks hubby and I decided to try and resume sex. I then started bleeding again so I backed off. It was bright red and lasted about a week. It felt like my period because I cramped and had cravings (is that normal to have a period that soon!?!?)

I then stopped yesterday only to be bleeding bright red again today!?! I have passed clots (not bigger than golf ball clots) and the bleeding hasn't been significantly heavy at all... But is this normal!?!!?

Could someone please give me some insight. I will be calling my OB as soon as she's back in the office. But was wondering if I could hear some postpartum stories here first
