Answers after recurrent miscarriage?

I Just had my third miscarriage. This time at 9 weeks. I have no living children and I'm starting to lose hope.

Has anyone who has experienced recurrent miscarriage ever gotten any answers from doctors or gone on to have healthy pregnancies? Any advice for me?

So sorry to hear that sweetie! I got two miscarriages! One at 10 weeks (with a d&c) and one at 8.5 weeks. Less that a year after, i am now 38 weeks pregnant with our first, and i m 36 years old. I wish you all the best! Keep positive! Take good care!

We lost 4 babies (10 w, 5 w, 20 w, & 8 weeks) and after advocating like crazy for myself I asked to be tested for MTHFR. My dr said there was no way I had it and it didn't mean anything anyway. Sure enough, I have a compound mutation of this genetic condition which is not only a clotting disorder but also comes with the inability to assimilate folic acid. So I'm on a blood thinner and folate in my prenatals and 11 weeks 4 days and we've seen the baby 6 times. You have to advocate so hard for yourself when it comes to miscarriages bc so many drs will just say it's random. I absolutely do not believe that bc we have a 3.5 year old son so it wasn't random at all. Good luck and push hard to get your needs met.

I am so sorry for your losses- I've had five losses and all tests were normal- I just did a blood culture test and found out I have basically
No vitamin k which is what helps your blood clot. I did this through my Accupuncture dr! Try alternative testing methods you never know! Wishing you the best f luck!

You can get help now you've had 3 it's sounds awful but that's the criteria. I'm in the same boat as you, I've just had a lot of bloods done and have a appointment at the hospital to check out my ovories and stuff and hopefully get some answers soon. You can either go to your doctor for a referal to fertility at the hospital or if you've gone through your miscarriages via the hospital they can send you direct, that's what they did with me.  Good luck!

So sorry hon! Ive been diagnosed with rpl with unknown cause after my third mc. I did go on to have a happy and healthy baby (born preemie) but now we are trying again and I have had two more "false starts". The good thing is my insurance now covers a lot more testing and even a few tries at iui and ivf. So far im just taking some baby aspirin, extra folic acid and prometrium. Good luck!
