It's a massive cold sore. The blisters can start at the lip and spread to the surrounding area. They will open, scab and heal just like a smaller cold sore

Oh honey, I feel bad for you… Go to the doctor and get a prescription for Valtrex. In the meantime put some Abreva on it. 
In the future, as soon as you feel one coming on, put ice on it, then put Abreva on it, and take Valtrex as soon as possible. You can get a prescription that has refills and call it in before you ever need it, this way you have it when you need it. It’s most effective when taken the first day of outbreaks.
