I think my doc is crazy!

So I am 13w+1d today and for the past 4 days have been battling with a cold. Seen my OB this morning and he diagnosed me with bronchitis. I cough so hard that I start cramping. My doctor prescribed me Norco!! He said I know you think I’m crazy, but it is the best cough suppressant and I assure you that this short treatment will not hurt the baby. My pharmacist even said it’s a popular prescription for a horrible cough and out weighs codeine cough meds. I am nervous about taking it but even Robitussin isn’t helping my cough. Has anyone else been prescribed the same thing for cough during pregnancy? Thank you in advance!
