Sick after Tdap?

Question

I got the Tdap shot at my 28w appointment, and literally less than 24h later I came down with flu like and cold like symptoms. 
Runny nose, cough, fatigue, nausea. 
I know the actual vaccine doesn’t cause illness, but did anyone have these reactions after getting it while pregnant? I don’t have a fever so I don’t think it’s an actual infection?
It’s either that or a huge coincidence I caught a virus At the same time?
Also side note, a cold during pregnancy doesn’t affect baby right? 😅

When you get a vaccine your immune system starts to work to develop antibodies to what you’re vaccinated for. In this case, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. When that happens you’re more susceptible to getting sick if you were already exposed to something. Essentially your body couldn’t do both-defend the cold AND develop the antibodies to the vaccine. Not saying this is the case for everyone, but this is why people will get sick after vaccines sometimes. Also, I believe a cold is okay and won’t affect baby. But if you develop a fever definitely ring your OB. Hope you feel better.

The nausea and fatigue can be a side effect of the vaccine but with a runny nose and a cough, it seems like you caught a cold and it’s just a coincidence that it happened after the vaccine.

The Dr told me tdap vaccine won't cause you to become ill. I just had pain (soreness), and itching at the site, and a raised pink bump for a few days. I was really tired, but I'm also late 3rd trimester. My guess would be you caught something else.

I also got the tdap at 28 weeks and developed a cold/fever maybe 2 days after. I’m just about 31 weeks now and getting better but still sick. No fun but baby is fine and super active. My guess is either compromised immune system from pregnancy or coincidence 🤷‍♀️

I got flu like symptoms... achy, upset stomach, etc. not the runny nose and cough though. Also wondering if it’s just coincidence though as a stomach bug is going around work.
