Do I see him?

So I’ve been dating, or whatever you wanna call it, this guy for a year. Long story short he doesn’t treat me the way he should (he’s not bad) but my dad says to ignore him till he comes to me. He’s just weird about his friends, and doesn’t prioritize me. Not saying I’m the most important thing on the planet, but he makes plans and then cancels (LITERALLY TEN MINUTES BEFORE) to go see his friends that he sees 24/7. Sort of pisses me off. I get it, the advice, like it makes sense. Only problem is I haven’t seen him in two weeks and we normally see each other on fridays. Do I take the advice or do I try and see him?
