Can you ladies confirm what happens after PGS testing for me?

Once I get the results, I want to be the one who makes the decision on which embryos to discard and which ones I’d like to keep. Can you ladies confirm what happens after you get the results and what your experiences have been with PGS testing?

My RE office will not transfer any abnormal embryos but he did go over with us what the abnormalities were. All of ours that were abnormal were not compatible with life so we discarded them.

Some clinics (like mine) keep mosaic embryos as well as normal embryos. Mosaic ones are those with both normal and abnormal cells. There is some newer research showing success with mosaic transfers, but there is a higher risk of genetic issues.

Unfortunately I don't think you will make that decision, the doctor will. Ours gave us the option to let them use them for QC testing or have them destroyed. That is pretty much the only choice you have.

I think they just told us which ones were good or not. I’m pretty sure ours that were not normal were donated to research. I remember signing documents before they did the process. It has options about what you can do and what your rights are. Did you already sign something similar to this?

We had to sign a contract.   Abnormal are destroyed.
