Kombucha while pregnant?

Maybe a dumb question...but was curious if its safe. I don't drink it regularly just a bottle once in a while. Anyone know??

I wouldn’t drink anything that’s unpasteurized.

I drank it pre pregnancy and have it a couple times now. For me, I'll only drink store bought right now (vs home brew). There are risks, just figure out what you're comfortable with and make an informed decision.

My midwife recommended it because of the probiotics. I try to avoid the ones with green tea added. I drink it like once per week

I think kombucha is fine it is just a fermented tea it would be great for your  intestines... Just make sure you get the nonalcoholic versions. Don't drink it too often because kombucha is something you drink sparsely.
