Breakthrough bleeding on pill?

I’ve been on the pill for about 8 months now, and almost always get my periods on the placebo pill days as normal. I’ve had spotting here and there over the course of my experience on the pill, but for the past 3 months or so I tend to bleed lightly a dark brown for a few days in the middle of my pack, as well as on the placebo pill days which would be my period. Is this still considered breakthrough bleeding even though it’s been close to 8 months on the pill?
