Mixed emotions about a baby?

I feel like there's something wrong with me. I've wanted a baby for so long. Being told I wouldn't have a baby of my own.. 3 years of trying.. losing one last year.. and now that I'm due in a few days, I feel like I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that my life won't ever be the same. I know my husband and I are OVER the moon excited, but feel somewhat mixed emotions. That our relationship will never be the same. It almost makes me sad... but then we wouldn't trade having this baby for anything in the world. Am I normal? Is there something wrong with me?

You may feel like this even after the baby is born. It took me a long time after my daughter was born to feel like we did the right thing becoming parents. It took us forever to get pregnant and all I wanted was a baby and I felt so guilty for feeling that way. But as you get into your mama groove and watch your baby grow and learn, you will be so elated you brought another life into this world. It will all be as it’s supposed to be! ❤️

Normal.  Completely normal.  With my first pregnancy although like you I was super excited there was that’s feeling of, wow, we aren’t gonna be a lone anymore.  But it will pass.  Once the baby gets here it will be normal for you and you won’t be able to imagine your life with out him/her.  Enjoy your last few days alone with hubby.  Go on a date, see a movie.

This is how i felt. I have a little girl, trying for #2 since August. But the day my water broke i remember just feeling sad and i actually cried while we were on our way to the hospital just knowing it would never just be the two of us.....but yea absolutely adore my dd and wouldnt trade her for a million alone with the hubby. So this feeling will pass, but i totally understand.

It’ll all change once the baby is born. Try not to stress, growing your family is a huge life change...but always a good one.

I’ve had baby fever for the last 5 years. I was never in a good spot to have another one though. My SO and I decided to try now that we’re in a good place and i got pregnant right away. Ever since I’ve been battling with myself and thinking maybe I wasn’t nearly as ready for another one as I thought I was. I think it’s normal though.
