Not allowed to see ultrasound until 11 weeks?

The hospital here in my home town has a policy that does not allow you to see your ultrasound unless you are at least 11 weeks. Every time I come on this app, I see posts with ultrasound pics from 5 weeks and on. Just wondering if this is a policy anywhere else? 
I’ve had 7 losses, all around 6-7 weeks, and because of this policy I’ve ever been able to see any of them. I’m pregnant again, about 9 weeks, and I’m on pins and needles waiting for the doctor to call me to let me know how my ultrasound went from Thursday, because I wasn’t allowed to see anything. Is this a normal policy?

I don’t think this is a normal policy.  I’ve never heard of something like this before. The only ultrasound I didn’t get pictures of was the one that confirmed my miscarriage last year. I’m pretty sure I was allowed to view the screen, but I just remember looking at the ceiling bc I didn’t want to look.

Ive never heard of that. You’re supposed to have the right to see your ultrasound. They can choose not to tell you what they see and not print pics but they’re supposed to let you see the ultrasound.
I’d ask them to see the written policy. If they can’t provide it right then, then demand to see your ultrasound. Their policies should be on hand in the office at all times.

No its not normal where I am especially if you are high risk

The doctors in my town wont even see you until you are past 10 weeks

Depends on the hospital policy. My doctors doesn’t even do ultrasounds until 12 regardless of high risk status

I’ve never heard of this. I’m 6 weeks currently and I’ll be getting an ultrasound on Thursdsy from my OB and they print pictures off for you to take home too

That's odd. I've neen getting scans since 7 and a half weeks and get to watch the whole thing.

I've never heard of this before I don't see why they wouldn't show you my earliest ultrasound was at 8 weeks and I got pictures and everything maybe see if there's a place that does private ultrasounds? I had went to one and paid to find out the gender early at 15 weeks
