Rhemi-Lou is FINALLY herešŸ’•

Boots šŸ–¤ • Expecting our Rainbow 🌈 Due Sept 2023

So amazing that I am finally able to be in this group writing my own story!

A bit of a back story..we TTC for 2.5 years. Many failed medicated months..2 failed

IUI

’s and tons of tears were shed before March of this year when I FINALLY got those 2 beautiful lines we all long to see šŸ’•

I had a FANTASTIC pregnancy, and at 18 weeks we found out we were having another little girl!

December 6 was our due date, and as the months went on we got more and more excited!

38 weeks rolled around and the fun started lol.. contractions that led to nothing 😳 became the norm until 40 weeks.

Our 40 week appointment the doc decided to do a sweep..again uneventful besides some show and loss of plug but nothing to say ā€œomg your in labourā€ so our induction was booked for Thursday December 13 (41 weeks)

Wednesday Dec 12 I was woken up to my water breaking at 2:37 am! I had no contractions yet but went to the hospital anyways because there was visibly meconium. Sure enough I was admitted for constant monitoring at the hospital..I was 2 cm dilated.

Mild contractions started and continued till about 8 am.. to when they decided to start Oxytocin to get things going. By 10am I was having 2 min apart contractions and very uncomfortable..so I was checked as the nurses were afraid I would deliver in the hallway..3CM..only 3 freakin cm!!!!!

I said EPIDURAL! (Now I have 3 children and all 3 were delivered naturally with no meds at all, but I figured I would treat myself this delivery lol)

11am doc showed up and gave me a little piece of HEAVEN!! OMG I can’t believe I never did that before!! Epidurals are amazing! I could move my legs..feel touch..but had absolutely no pain! 😌

3pm rolls around and I’m starting to feel pressure..not pain but I could feel my contractions. So I was checked and I’m 8cm.. almost go time...pressure continues and just before 4:00 I’m 10cm ready to go...

9 min of pushing and at 4:05 my beautiful little girl was born!!

The NICU team didn’t even have to intervene..she came out and within 30 sec was crying so no issue with the mecomium

We had great skin to skin bonding while the placenta was delivered ( which I didn’t feel lol let alone know had happened). She latched right away and we had almost an hour before she left me to get weighed.

We came home the next day and have just been loving her up!

Thanks for making it this far if you did..and here’s a few pics!
