Recommendations for birth control?

I have been sexually active for some time and have only ever used spermicide or Plan B, but now I want to get on more effective birth control. Any recommendations? I have seriously considered the patch and definitely do not want to get the IUD.

I've never used the patch. I had Nexplanon, but did not like it. My depression was horrible.
I have had good luck with birth control pills. Alesse and Camrese were both ones that worked well for me. Some others did not.

Patch sucks def not reliable at all! Im on the mini pill which i recommend especially since its your first time. I have the pill Heather. No weight gain. No mood swings. No headaches or acne. Best pill ever.
