On the rare occasion our 2 year old has a hard time going to sleep or wakes up in the middle of the night crying.... we go in there to comfort her (we take turns). And often times, she cries when we leave again. My husband has been getting in the habit of telling her he’s going potty and he’ll be right back so she doesn’t cry when he leaves the room, then he’ll come climb into bed. I yell at him for lying and make him go back in her room if she’s waiting for him. I don’t think he should tell her that and not follow through on his word. Thoughts???
