Am I right to be upset?

St

My fiancé and I work night shift in the same hospital. At night there aren’t no people here. Anywho, I let him borrow my brand new Nintendo switch (it’s compact) it comes with a carrying case so you can carry it around. Anywho, he said he hid it in a safe place under his jacket... problem he walked to me to ask me something but left my game on the other side where they’re a lot of people at. I tell him why did he leave it & I was a little annoyed & I asked for it back. He brings it to me, no problem. End of argument right? He then texts me telling me that I was overreacting & that it was hidden so no one would see it & that I had no trust in him... the way I see it is if someone had me borrow something of theirs. I would either put it in the car or have it on me for safe keeping so make sure nothing happens (theft, falling, etc) the point was that I just wanted him to respect my stuff like he would respect his & I just bought it 3 days ago & it cost a pretty penny. He is the one who wants to take it to work (id rather keep it at home because I don’t want anything to happen to it) I’m trying to tell him that to respect my stuff and don’t leave it because ... I did just get it but he turns it around and tells me that I have no trust in him & that I’m not being understanding. I’m confused and I just give up trying to explain to him. He gets offensive & butt hurt whenever I tell him negative things that, to me, makes sense? Like he gets hurt and tells me I don’t understand him & that I have little to no faith in him. Now I’m confused & felt a little bad after words. Am I in the wrong??
