Thyroid & Period

Hey girls, I was wondering if anyone knew if this was connected to a thyroid issue. So I’m 19 and I normally have abnormally long periods, this last time was nearly 11 days. I also tend to have odd hormone fluctuations and I’ve been spotting everyday since my period. My mother has thyroid problems and I am going to be getting mine tested in the new year (not something to mess around with I know). I was just curious if anyone who had thyroid problems could connect this as a sign that something’s up. Thanks x
