Not trying to bash anyone

Nickie

So I’ve read some posts on women surprising their significant others with the gender and I am kind of shocked. I have never been to an OB appointment without my husband. This is my 4th pregnancy. My 3rd we found out there was no heartbeat at an ultrasound appointment and my current we found out my baby has anencephaly.

While my first 2 were perfectly normal, I could not imagine getting any kind of news without him there.

I’m sure there’s reasons why a significant other is present. I always make my appointments when he is off of work.

Plus, I think my husband would have been sad if I found the genders of our babies without him.

If your SO isn’t at your appointments, why?

Not trying to bash anyone, I’m just curious.

Edit: I really was not trying to offend anyone. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I would do without my husband.

My dad recently passed away and last week we found at 20 weeks our baby isn’t going to live very long. So, my husband has been my rock and sanity. I’m projecting my anxiety and pain onto everyone.

I’m sorry for offending anyone. I understand we all have busy lives and jobs. Please accept my apology.
