Braxton Hicks or Real contractions?


I often see online that if you have Braxton Hicks you can drink water or change positions or walk and they stop.

Can anyone tell me from experience whether these things will make Braxton Hicks stop mid-contraction or do they just mean contractions will stop happening?

I’ve been having a lot of contractions but always have to wait them out (around a minute) and walking aggravates things.

Just trying to determine whether I am having Braxton Hicks or real contractions.
