The Pill and bleeding

I just starting taking the pill a month ago. I start spotting last week. Well I starting taking the “sugar” pills and I’ve been bleeding so much. Bleeding through tampons. Clots too. I pretty much go pee and blood pours out. Is this normal? Or should I see a doctor? I started the sugar pills when I was supposed to, which was right as my period should of started if I didn’t start the pill.
