If baby just “hangs out” on my breast...

is he helping increase milk supply? Ive been trying really hard to get it up before going back to work by feeding him and pumping almost non-stop over the past few days, but I haven’t seen any increase in my supply.

A lot of the time, I’m out of milk but let him just suckle or hang out on my boob. When he’s not actively sucking and just holding my nipple in his mouth- is that helping to boost my supply, or am I more or less wasting my time with that?
