Baths?

Can you give your baby a bath everyday ? I find bath times really calm my 1 month old. I’ll give her a bath , lotion her up, song some
Songs to her and then she’s out like a light.

My nurse at the hospital and my pediatrician said it’s not good on their skin to do baths more than twice a week.

Honestly, I used to bathe my kids pretty much every night because it helped both my boys sleep. I would only use soap twice a week, though. The other baths I called “bird baths” and they basically just relaxed in the water and we treated it like a normal bath, without the soap. My pediatrician didn’t see any problem with it and my boys’ loved their little bird baths :)

Yes, lukewarm water and no soap! We did it with both babes and they were fine. Worked for us. We used baths as part of the nighttime routine and it was a huge blessing. Water DOES calm babies. It’s amazing.

I was literally going to post this exact question! I bathe my 3 week old twice a week. On bath nights she sleeps a solid 8 hours. So I was wondering if I could even give her 5 mins in her bath with just lukewarm water and no soap every night since it calms her right before bed.
