Am I overreacting?
My guy and I have been together for almost nine years. We went to a massage place today that we have been to once before. There was a new receptionist and since there was only one masseuse, he left me go first and waited the hour for his turn.
The entire time I could hear them talking and having fun which was cool, no big deal. He is a good looking guy and gets hit on. I understand that and had no issues with that. When my time was up, he went back. I thought, you know, at least it will.not be boring because at least she doesn't mind talking to people waiting. But she just told me I could sit wherever and got on her phone. Which again, was no big deal. I have rbf and know I can come off as unapproachable. So I tried initiating conversation with her. No go. Cool, fine. I figured I would pay the bill and go next door to the store and get things for dinner.
As I was paying, she asked me if it was together or separate. I told her together to which she asked are you sure it's together? I know I must have given a weird face because I was confused on why she would ask that again in a are you sure kind of tone. So she goes back to see what kind of massage he was getting and then came back and asked yet again if it was together or separate.
Fast forward about an hour and I am sitting in here waiting on him to be finished. He comes out and now she is all smiles and giggles. We say our goodbyes and as we are walking out the door she says "Don't forget to call me."
Wait, what?
So we get in the car and I asked him Did she just say not to forget to call her? He said long story I'll tell you later and proceeded to tell me how his massage went.
When we get home, like 4-5 minutes later, I asked again. And he was like oh yeah she asked for my number. And he gave it to her. I asked why he gave it to her in the first place when he doesn't want me giving out my number to random guys. He claims it was because they were talking about how she used had a sushi place in China and has made sushi for 8 years.
I asked him to delete it and I dont care if she makes the best sushi, it is super disrespectful to ask for someone's number and ask for them to call you in front of their SO. He now says she is married and he husband is a master chef and that is why because whatever sushi they make is probably amazing.
I told him I didn't want any contact between them no matter the reason as I felt disrespected by first talking to you for an hour, then ignoring me, and then to flat out askmyou to call her in front of me, I would have been fine with the first two but the asking to call is what got to me. He said I was being a crazy bitch and made all kinds of excuses of why she might not have spoken to me. I tried telling him that I felt disrespected by her and it's not about her speaking to me or not, it's about asking you to call her in front of me. And that I felt like he was defending her and invalidating my feelings in the matter.
We fought, then he claimed he didn't want to fight so I just said to let it go and move on. Only for 20 minutes later for him to get mad, say I have an inferiority complex and I took it out on him. And that if I had more confidence in myself I would not have let that bother me so much. And that I was ridiculous for letting it get to me by a "fat, chinese girl with two black teeth"
Here is why I just felt uneasy about the whole phone number situation. He has given his number out before and lied about it. Said he gave the wrong number or such and then would start being on his phone all the time. His phone is always dead and he uses mine 99% of the time. So when his is suddenly glued to his side, its sketchy.
I don't know, maybe I am being crazy. I know I have a low self esteem so maybe that is it. I just wanted to get someone else's opinion. Sorry for the long post.
