I had an appointment set for when he was around 13m old but at our 12m pediatrician appt he suggested we wait until 2-3 years old unless there were obvious problems.

I brought him to my last cleaning. He was 16 months. They said it’s good to get them started early to get them used to it. He basically just brushed his teeth really well and looked at them to be sure they were coming in well. If you have insurance I don’t see why you wouldn’t. Our pediatrician asked at his 15 month checkup if we had a dentist appointment yet..

Our dentist said sooner the better for an examination. Get use to sitting on the chair
