Talking yet?

Are your little ones talking yet? How many words do they say?
Mine is 17 months and has been saying Tata nonstop but now she stopped and hasn't said anything in the past few weeks.
Concerned Mama here. Love to hear your experiences!

My son doesn’t say much either.  He has said Mama and Dada in the past but doesn’t much anymore.  The only things he’s really saying now are Cat and Uh-oh.

My daughter is 17 months and is the same way. Used to say mama, dada, kitty all the time. Now all she says is dada and hi. Sometimes she will try to repeat us but she’s just not very talkative! My mom (who does daycare) tells me all the time she’s still little and will talk when she wants to🤷🏻‍♀️

I just had this convo with my ex husband he swears our daughter doesn’t know any other words except for “No” and his girlfriend is pressuring him to get her tested for autism ONLY because she’s fully vaccinated unlike her daughter.... completely idiotic reason to do testing. So I listened to her ALLLLL day long and typed out every word she said... the list is at 63 words!! And she can say 2-3 worded sentences too.... some kids just don’t want to talk... and she doesn’t like strangers (her dad and his girlfriend) so she won’t talk around them...  here is just a sample of what I had typed out.

My LO is 17 months on the 23rd. She says a handful of words. Hi, bye, mom, dad, grandpa, baba (Barney)... she tries to mimic what we say and she is jabbering constantly, it just isn't actual words quite yet. I'm not concerned.

My son has not said any meaningful word yet but we use 3 languages with him so I guess it takes him a bit more time than other kids who are exposed to only 1.

My daughter talks, she says probably a little over 50 words. She’s a chatterbox. She knows a handful of phrases, mostly commands we give the dogs lol (sit down, get out, stand up and love you) But she really only started picking up new words towards the end of October. It took her a little while to get started and then she was absorbing tons. You should bring that up to your pediatrician next time you see them, just to make sure you’re watching for things!

My daughter is 17 mo also.. she says quite a few words and a couple short phrases. Did you tell your pediatrician at the last well baby visit that your child wasn’t really saying much? All kids learn at their own pace and sometimes my daughter will say a million things then completely stop for a while but then pick it back up. Hope you guys figure it out! I know how you must be feeling.
