My wedding is this coming Halloween. It will be a tiny wedding ceremony. Maybe 20 people there. My SO has his best friend being his best man. My best friend is moving from Vermont to Texas. I live in Pennsylvania. So she will be living in Texas, and with a new job by the time of the wedding. That drive is nore than 20hours away. I am pretty positive that she will be unable to make it. A) the distance is huge. B) If she has a new job, she more than likely will not be able to take the time off C) she will probably not be able to afford the cost to travel.

I can not afford to help her financially. The thing is this..... hubby will have someone to be on his side, standing by him. I will not have anyone next to me since she won't be able to make it. I don't want anyone to replace her. I really have no other friends anyways. My sister in law wants to be my maid of honor, but i just don't feel it. Is that wrong? I will have my brothers (4) some neices and nephews and my mom and dad there. At the moment no one but SO's friend and his wife and kids will be there on his "side." I just feel like i want to sacrafice that spot for her.
