Cluster feeding?

Is cluster feeding every hour from 5-10pm normal??? How long am I supposed to be doing this, meaning till how old? My baby's 8 weeks old, breastfeeding mostly and bottle with pumped milk.(--is that considered ebf?)

It can be for sure. I am almost exclusively pumping and she can down 10 oz in 6 hours. Just make sure you are pace feeding with the bottles and it’s all good. It usually happens for us in a growth spurt for a few days and stops

I've started noticing I'm being used for comfort sucks. But also, the breasts have less output (but higher protein /fat content) as the day goes on (you have the largest supply in the morning). So, from what I've read, they tend to feed frequently during those hours and build up for a longer sleep.

Try to listen and make sure that baby is swallowing. Sometimes my son will be done eating and fall asleep but he still sucks. He never actually swallows so I know he’s just using me as a paci and I’ll de latch and try to give him a paci. Some babies cluster feed at night to gear up for
Sleeping.

Are you sure it’s cluster feeding and you’re not just a human pacifier. I’m in the process of trying to figure out when my daughter is hungry or just looking to suck.
