Pregnancy announcement

We did our announcement with both families seperate, his family was more receptive/emotional than at mine at home. Especially knowning my mom she just shed a tear for 2 seconds of course with congrats. When I said to her I expected more of a reaction especially how she's been talking about wanting grandkids. She said she is in shock but overly joyed of the amazing news. Fiance did mention too that they were a little reserved considering the news. I'm just a bit disappointed maybe I expected more.

To top it off my fiance did send an xmas ecard to his extended family with the news and just one person had responded. Maybe I'm overwhelmed with emotion I just feel it wasn't necessary since none of his aunts and uncles and cousins seem to care.

And I'm already getting advice from my SIL how I HAVE to get a midwife, while I did nicely say I'm happy with my doctor, she now has convinced my fiance to consider it while I don't want one.
