Which do you like better for a crib?

Crib and changer combo or crib and changing table separate? Is a changing table good to have?

From a mom of a toddler who started climbing crib at 12 months. Having a changing table attached is an easy way to a child to climb out of crib onto something. I will also add a changing table was one of my least used items it became more of a clean laundry holder more than a changing table

Problem with attached ones is babies use it to climb out of cribs, it becomes a fall risk.

For furniture we’re just getting a crib and a dresser. We have a changing station that will sit on top of the dresser. 
A lot of people get the wooden changing stations that go on top of a dresser, but that can be expensive and you have to buy the actually changing pad and cover for it. We’ve opted for a wipe clean version that’s cheaper overall.

I prefer them separate. I don’t like the crib being that close to anything and it’s harder to fit in a room with it attached. It’s not difficult to take a few steps for the changing table and honestly I usually just lay my baby on the floor to change her anyway. I like to sit. Lol

I never used a changing table, I thought it was a waste of space. I changed my babe on a mat on the floor and it was so much easier and I didnt have to worry about her rolling away.

We hardly used our changing table either my 2.5 yr old son, except for storage. Unless you spend most of your time in the nursery you’ll probably end up changing the baby on the couch/floor a lot more than anywhere else.
