Membrane Sweep?

38 week check up tomorrow and I wanna ask my ob to do a membrane sweep.  Any tips ? How bad does it hurt ?
UPDATE..... Couldn't get my ob to do a membrane sweep because my cervix is completely closed 😫😫

I’m 38 weeks and i just had one done today! It hurt/was uncomfortable for 15 seconds! I’m 3cm dilated so hoping to go any day now!🤞🏼 good luck!!

Had 2 done with my first. They aren’t too bad but some women say they HURT. Just depends on the person. It’s just an odd pressure

It’s uncomfortable but not super painful. I’ve had it done twice during other pregnancies. I had some blessing and cramping after but it wasn’t awful. Both my prior pregnancies babies came a little early. I don’t think it induced pregnancy I think it just gave my body a kick start!

Had mine done today at 38 weeks. It just hurt for a few seconds and was uncomfortable. I was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced before they did it. Still no contractions today though. Hoping labor picks up tomorrow.

I had mine done yesterday. It’s definitely uncomfortable and I was a little sore after, but nothing too bad. Had quite a bit of bleeding after and was dilated to a 4.5 prior, so we will see!
