Cry it out sleep training method?

Both my kids slept through the night by 3mos using the CIO method and from my experience they both were much happier babies once they started sleeping 10-12 hours at night! They’d wake up happy and not hangry! Also my first is almost 2 1/2 and is still an awesome sleeper, and loves his bed!! Both happiest babes as can be!! To each their own but i wanted to share a positive CIO experience, i don’t need criticism from anyone who thinks this is cruel! We didn’t allow excessive crying.

I feel like there’s too much conflicting evidence for me to give an opinion on if it’s right or wrong. I think if you’re having difficulty with sleep training then it might have a positive outcome. We never let our babe cry longer than like 5 minutes, but she’s also never been a bad sleeper. 🤷‍♀️ usually if she’s crying, she actually needs something. I’m thankful that I haven’t needed to use CIO, but I understand that some babies are a little bit harder to get to sleep on their own and it might be necessary. Definitely won’t rule it out for future babies.

I said absolutely not only because I really don’t need to use it ! I’m not against it but I’m also weak and would probably cave after 5 minutes 😂 my son still wakes 2 times a night for a bottle. I give him a few minutes before I get up to see if it’s really because he’s hungry. But he gets his bottle and then passes passes back out immediately. He falls asleep every night by 630 but I can thank daycare for that. He sleeps from about 630pm to 645am with about 2 wake ups (15 mins each time) but this also only started about a month ago. When I was EBF his ass was up 3-6 times a night for like 30 min each time. 😑

Not necessarily against it but I don’t feel I’m strong enough to do it.. but honestly when we move out of this apartment in March if she still needs to be put back to sleep as often as she does I will probably try it.. some nights are better than others but I’m not able to just put her down and have her go to sleep, which sounds like a dream to me tbh

My son sleeps 13 hours a night with one very brief wake up for a change and a quick bottle for a while now , I did cry it out . No other option had worked for us . My son was even refusing naps and was getting overtired ! 
Now he also takes 2 naps one at 12:00-2:00 and then 4:30-6:30 . We do a bit of a later bedtime it works for us ! 
But if ur not comfortable with it that’s totally fine it’s hard . I always did 10 mins light cry check in I never picked him up just let him know I was there and he calmed down and it worked in about 3 days

I tried it with my first and it didn't work my nerves were shot and so were his. My second was different story and my last thankfully dosent cry much but when I put her down to sleep she wakes and thinks it's play time lol. Each child is different. You could always gi it a try if you feel like it.
