Question

My fiance has been complaining about her weight. I don't see any issue but I've been telling her she's beautiful more often and kissing her and letting her know I love her, and now she's pushing me away and telling me I'm being to lovey. I just want her to know I think she's beautiful and I want her to feel like she's as wonderful as I think she is.

Talking from my own viewpoint, it won’t matter how much you tell her she’s beautiful she won’t see it herself. She’s obviously unhappy with her weight and until she changes her mind frame of that or changes her lifestyle to be more active, she won’t take note of what your telling her. I’m not saying weight defines people or anything, I’m sure she’s very beautiful. So if she’s unhappy with her weight maybe suggest joining a gym together or going on walks, just generally being more active. Help her by being more healthier with meal choices and stuff. It’s all small changes that help.

Maybe instead when she complains about her weight ask her what you can do to help her get to a place where she’s happy and confident? 
It annoys tf out of me when I speak about certain things I have an issue with and my husband just ignores me to say “oh I don’t think it’s a problem/you’re beautiful/I like it that way” instead of taking what I’m saying seriously, makes me feel as if he believes that his opinion of me is more important than my opinion of myself. Maybe she could be in the same boat?

Maybe offer to do things together! Plan a great but healthy meal to cook for you two or offer to go for a walk with her :) for me doing small steps like that helped me feel at least productive and doing it together means she won’t push you away hopefully?
