How do you make friends in your 30s?

I just ended an almost 10 year relationship and I have no friends either. I devoted everything to someone that betrayed me and now I feel lost and alone. I need people to have fun with, to get me through this but I don't know how to make friends at this point in my life.

So for me personally.. I joined a Co-ed kick ball team that the local parks and recs put together, I'd go to events like there was a treasure hunt in my town that I went on and met some cool people, I'd go to the semi annual drag queen bingo and made friends with people who went as well (that's actually how I learned about the kick ball team I had joined) I was a hairstylist so every year I'd either attend or be apart of our local fashion week and met people through that.. networking events, ect. Just getting involved in your community, volunteering your time to help out at events will dramatically boost your chances of making new friends. My sister was on the roller derby team and made a lot of friends that way.

Through work is a good start. But keep your business to yourself. Meeting friends through work friends always worked for me. Even if I didn’t stay friends with my co workers lol. 
Side note: I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. And things will get better. After 10 years it’s gotta be hard but I’m sure they’re things you want to do that you never got the chance to do. Live for yourself now ❤️

Joining local hobby groups like the ones on meetup.com can help. Also, look for local fb groups that involve things you're interested in. Where I live the 2 nearest towns have little community groups on fb. I've met several friends that way and I have also made some friends on local gardening, chicken, and homesteading groups because those are my interests..
Just look for local groups and start talking with people and it will sorta come naturally.
