My step dad tried to keep me from going home by taking my keys.

No, I was not drunk. I do not drink period, in that case this would have been totally justified in my opinion. It was the fact that it’s so late.. I am 22 years old and wanted to go home at 2am. I get that he was concerned and I understand, but I feel like it wasn’t okay for him to take my keys from me so we got into it over that and I felt bad but at the same time I’m an adult. I live in my own house and pay my own bills and I bought this car myself. I should be able to leave if I want to. And he was like forcefully taking my keys from me and literally prying them from my hands. Not okay to me and I wanted to hear others thoughts
