Hey ladies. I will be spending the night at my boyfriends house tomorrow and we wanna have sex. We dont have any condoms and might not have them tomorrow either. I’m on my period and I’m also on the birth control patch but it is my free week which means I take off my patch for a week so I can have my period. Tomorrow I will be on cycle day 3. I was wondering if you ladies thought this was safe not to use a condom and what you guys think the pregnancy possibility was since I’m on my period and on the patch.

Still possible to get pregnant so I would suggest using a condom, but if that’s not an option you need to communicate with him that he needs to pull out. On the flip side, understand that you may still get pregnant, as sperm still gets secreted before ejaculation, and that’s a very serious and likely possibility. Good luck though and be safe! Condoms don’t cost much and if you’re looking for non-latex I’d go with SKYN as that’s my favorite brand and I’m allergic to latex.

I'd say get some condoms because their a lot cheaper than plan b ($50) which u can take up to 3 days after but u could get free condoms anywhere look for a planned Parenthood near u

I would not suggest it as sperm can last up to 5 days waiting for an egg to drop. Condoms are a must.

If you’re using the patch correctly then it protects you even on the week you have it off. But that being said, it’s not 100%. You’re probably fine but know that there is a very small risk of pregnancy.
