Please read :) Avery for a boy?

Okay ... so on our third date my now husband and I were discussing baby names and he told me his favorite boy name was Avery. I loved it and had only ever heard it once before, also for a boy.

It has now been several years and a couple of things have happened:

1. Avery has become trendy! We both like gender neutral names, but it is definitely climbing the charts as a girl name.

2. His brother recently had a girl and gave her the middle name Avery. When my husband heard this he totally removed it from his list.

... I was bummed! We are currently expecting and have a girl name picked out. We are leaning on the gender being a surprise, but do not really have a boy name picked out. I recently returned to Avery and he said okay! ... and I’m happy, but torn!

Thoughts? What would you do?
