Did you ever get surprised about the baby’s gender?

So I’m only 6w5d and my baby’s heart beat ranged from 113-123 bpm. I swear I think it’s a boy. But I’d love to have a girl. (Don’t get me wrong I’ll be happy with anything as long as their healthy) but has anyone else had a similar experience where the baby’s heat rate was around 113-123 and it ended up being a girl?

Heart rate has nothing to do with the gender of an unborn baby. The absolute only way to know is through a blood test or a second trimester ultrasound. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING else are just old wives’ tales.

My son was in the 170s and would be girl according to the old wives tale. Could easily be either :)

I kept myself impartial while waiting to find out, but somehow got myself to thinking it was another boy because my husband and son wanted one so badly. I think I knew deep down it was a girl, so it was a happy surprise when it turned out to be a girl.

Mine was 133bpm at my 7 week ultrasound and then its been a steady 165-170bpm since 12 weeks. Im having a boy. I knew it was a boy from the beginning even tho I wanted a girl. Heart rate really doesnt tell you anything.

I thought I was having a boy with my first 3 pregnancies. They’re all girls, I was like solidly convinced with my 3rd though which bummed me when she was a girl. With my current pregnancy I just knew it was another girl and I was right this time lol.
