Little to no movement??

Question

I'm 22 weeks and 2 days pregnant with out rainbow baby. I am a high risk pregnancy and felt him move for the first time around 20 weeks. I have not felt him move at all in the past couple days. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Not typically until 28ish weeks. It’s normal to not feel a ton of movement. I’d definitely suggest getting a fetal Doppler to calm your anxiety if you don’t have one. I used one until probably 32 weeks or so and that’s the main thing that got me through this pregnancy.

With a high risk pregnancy always get checked if you feel something is off. I'm a high risk Mono/di twin pregnancy. I started feeling them heavily at 20 weeks and was admitted at 23+5. I'm 29+5 now and the first question they have asked from the beginning is have you felt them move. I know what everyone is saying. But coming from someone who's primary OB is an MFM dr as well and everyone has said if you have concerns get checked.

At this point there are a number of reasons why baby moves more one day and less the next: baby is small and is tucked somewhere more cushioned, baby is going through a growth spurt and/or resting, baby is kicking toward the placenta or your back where it is harder to feel, if you are larger your body fluff may make it harder to feel, baby is moving but you were busy and didn't catch it...I go through this myself and remind myself of this (I'm 20 weeks) when baby has a "down day" or two. Yesterday he was super quiet. Same on Christmas Eve. But usually after a day or two he's back up to squirming again. Counting kicks/movements doesn't happen until later because they are inconsistent at this stage...but give your doc a call if you can't reassure yourself...that's what they are there for.

I went to the dr Wednesday and they done an ultrasound and told me he was positioned more towards my back and behind my placenta but I was still feeling him move.
