Does anyone else have inconsistent results using OPK strips? I started testing for the first time this month at the beginning of my cycle . since I started testing I have always had a line next to the control line..maybe about as half as dark as the control line. I'm approaching ovulation, accord to my app it will happen in two days. For 5 days I had egg white CM, and my strips were the same. I started testing twice a day so I wouldn't missed my surge. The line got fairly dark but not a clear positive. Right when I should have been approaching being most fertile, I took a test and the line was the lightest it had been so far and my CM went from being very clear and stretchy to sticky and creamy. Is this normal or is it possible I ovulated early and missed my surge? I tested around 1 pm and 10 pm every day. I track my BBT but it's not that clear or reliable as I have sleep problems.

Any idea what happened? I was anxiously waiting for a positive.. So to see it be a definite negative when I expected the complete opposite was disheartening. I took it again today and it's getting darker again, back to where it was before. It it normally for the line color to fluctuate so much?
