What was your experience with the implant

Could you possibly explain why if it wasn't great? I'm wanting to switch from the pill to the implant x

I had the Implanon (spelling is likely off) in my arm for 2-3 months. The doctor said it would take time to regular, but I was bleeding heavily for 3/4 weeks of the month, fatigued, bloated, etc so I had it removed.

It was okay for me....my bf came in me and I didn’t get pregnant🙏🏼, but it didn’t help my acne, I lost my sex drive and all wetness, I didn’t really feel any emotions anymore besides anger all the time, and I had nonstop spotting for about 4 months. I eventually got it removed and went back on the pill and things went back to normal. Everyone is different though so🤷🏻‍♀️

It was absolute hell for me! I had it removed after 8 months. I gained 30lbs, bled for 6months, my hair started falling out, and I developed cystic acne. After I had it removed all symptoms went away and I stopped gaining weight.
My friend loves it she didn't have any of the problems I did! It just depends on you and your body how you're going to react.

I was on the shot for 1 year which made me gain extreme weight and I wasn’t able to lose it no matter what I did, I didn’t have a period which was good but it made me so sad and depressed so then I switched to the implant. It was great I was able to lose weight, I didn’t have my period, my acne cleared up I had maybe 1 pimple every 4 months, I was more happier altogether. I have the implant for 2 1/2 years until recently I decided to get it removed to see if it can help me lose even more weight. All in all great experience for me!

I switched from the pill and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The mood swings were so extreme I could be laughing one minute then the next balling my eyes out because someone looked at me wrong. I was so depressed I barely moved from the couch. I was mean to anyone around me. I bled continuously for a month while it was in and a month after it was removed. Everyone basically walked on eggshells around me so they wouldn’t set me off. I called my doctor a few times while it was in because I was concerned about my mental state and how much I was bleeding. She said give it awhile to let the hormones balance and that it sounded like I was just tired. Finally I got to the point where I was suicidal so I called the doctor sobbing asking to get it out. The nurse I was talking to said “I’ll schedule you next week to consult with the doctor and if you two decide it’s right to remove it you’ll be scheduled the following week for the procedure” so I lost my shit and told them I would chop it out myself with a steak knife. They fit me in that day so I wouldn’t harm myself. Before I got it placed all I cared about was not having to take it everyday. After I got it placed and started feeling off I did some research and a lot of people have had this sort of reaction. I’ll never use any type of birth control that i can’t stop the use of myself at any time because of that experience.

I’ve had it for 11 months and like it. The only side effects I’ve experienced so far are spotting and not having a period (haven’t had one in 9 months which has been great). 
Birth Control does affect everyone differently though, some people experience longer bleeding, continous spotting, mood swings, etc. while on the implant
