Condom question!

Hi ladies! So I’m getting the IUD inserted next week and I was just wondering if the strings could mess with the condom? I know that the strings eventually soften up after a while, but my boyfriend and I are going on a trip at the end of January and I was just wondering if the strings would affect it.

We use the ultra thin Trojan condoms so I’m just wondering that if my string are too long, would they puncture the condom if they’re not soft?

I just want to be prepared! Thanks!
